Wavelength‐Selective Photopolymerization of Hybrid Acrylate‐Oxetane Liquid Crystals

We report on the wavelength-selective photopolymerization of a hybrid acrylate-oxetane cholesteric liquid crystal monomer mixture. By controlling sequence and rate orthogonal free-radical cationic reactions, it is possible to control degree phase separation in resulting interpenetrating networks. show that this can be used tune reflective color structurally colored coatings produced. Conversely, structural monitor separation. Our new procedure allows for structuring networks three dimensions, which has great potential fabricating polymer materials with programmable functional properties.
